This technology uses a carbon or graphene nanocomposite as a filter to remove wastes including oil, grease, biologics, chemical dyes, heavy metals, radioactive particulate, free fatty acids, and petrochemicals. This invention can also be used in desulfurization, deacidification, solvent recovery, and concentration of pharmaceuticals and bioactive compounds.
