Short Description

The University of Texas at El Paso seeks a partner for licensing on an HIV-protease inhibitor. UTEP scientists have discovered novel [70]fullerene derivatives with the aim of providing a new anti-HIV agents.

Abstract

AIDS was discovered in 1981, and since it has spread all around the world. There are two main anti-HIV agents, some that target the HIV the reverse transcriptase and those that inhibit the enzyme (HIV-protease), necessary for HIV growth. To date, there are few HIV-protease inhibitors. Patent pending.
